IdeaPrompt is a new, easy to use brainstorming product. IdeaPrompt is a fast, fun and easy to use application that runs on any Windows-based PC. Comes pre-loaded with idea suggestions AND is easily customizable so you can add your own idea prompts in a snap!

The concept behind IdeaPrompt is simple, it is based on the same structure as 'Flash Cards' that you may have used in elementary school, only in this case, you are being prompted with ideas.

IdeaPrompt comes pre-loaded with a group of general ideas that apply to a broad range of products or services and is completely customizable so you may create your own idea prompt lists.

The original idea behind this software came from an observation about how we think of new ideas for products, businesses and services. For improving or enhancing existing products or services - one of the most commonly found thought structures is to observe what competitors have done to enhance their offerings and then see if any of these competitive ideas apply the product or service at hand.

Specifically, an example may be in a brainstorming session in a product marketing session where the thought is "Competitor A just came out with a new package that makes their product dispense
easier, is there any way we can change or enhance the packaging of our product that makes it easier for our customers to use?" Now, with that example in mind, think about creating a list of all
the popular features/characteristics that in some how relate to your product or business (or not!), putting those ideas on cards, and holding them up one at a time in front of a group of marketing
managers (or yourself) and asking; "Can we somehow apply this to our product to make it better?"

IdeaPrompt uses the idea from the example above only using software instead of cards.

IdeaPrompt Runs Automatically Or Manually.

By default, IdeaPrompt is set in an autorun mode and continually prompts you with ideas - this is a great way to get creative thought moving. You can stop the autorun feature at anytime and click on
the 'Manual Advance' button to click through prompts one at a time. At any time you can click on the 'Add Idea' button in the Idea Box panel to add the idea to a note list that you can save or print.
You can also type your own notes in the note box next to any ideas that merit further discussion. In the same box, you can choose to open notes from a past session by click on 'Open Notes' (you'll
need to find your last note document that you saved). Please note, IdeaPrompt works off of and with .rtf (Rich Text File) documents which can be read by or opened with any word processing
program for editing, emailing, etc.

IdeaPrompt Allows You To 'Roll Your Own' Idea Prompt Lists.

If you want to create your own IdeaPrompt prompt list to use with IdeaPrompt, simply create a list of idea prompts in any word processing program (one idea per line), and save it as a .rtf (Rich Text
File). Click on the 'Open/Load' button in the Load Custom Prompt Data panel and navigate to the document you created and your idea prompt will become the active list. Simply click on 'Default List'
to return to the prepackaged list that comes with the program.
