IdeaCue™ brainstorming software is intended to help managers, product developers, engineers and entrepreneurs create new ideas for product and service offerings. Whether it is a completely new product, product enhancements or line extensions, IdeaCue™ is intended to prompt creative thought and provide a basic marketing viability audit of any ideas found.

IdeaCue™ was developed by individuals experienced in new product management and marketing. The idea behind IdeaCue™ is a simple one, either as a group or individually, new product offerings or enhancements come about by thinking, “What features can I add to our existing product to enhance it’s sales?” or “What new product can we come out with to increase sales.” After this thought occurs, the next mental step is to associate an existing product or service with new features such as “Let’s make it faster…”, “How about an online service…”, “What if we combine the printer, fax, scanner all in one product…”, “What if we change the packaging so it’s easier to store?” etc.

The IdeaCue Idea Engine

IdeaCue™ uses two different methods to help stimulate creative thought. The first method is called the IdeaEngine and it’s based on a simple “Flash Card” concept where new ideas are flashed in front of you. In the simplest sense, you start the IdeaCue™ IdeaEngine on your computer and its default idea database flashes ideas in front of you at random such as “Faster”, “Different Packaging”, “Online”, “Lease Program”, “Kit Form”, “Product Suite” “Combine Two Products”, etc.

The default IdeaEngine database contains a variety of typical product or service enhancements to help you brainstorm. After every idea, you can think about how you might apply the idea to the products or services that you offer. Most importantly, since every business and product is different, the database is completely customizable so you can add additional terms that are relevant to your specific business.

IdeaCue also uses the 'Concept Scrambler' method of brainstorming, where up to three ideas are snapped together into one to form new thoughts and concepts. Like the Idea Engine, the Concept Scrambler has a completelt customizable database so you can add terms that are relevant to you business.

Since analyzing your concepts for viability is a vital part of new product development, IdeaCue includes a Concept Analysis utility that asks 12 basic questions about the capabilities, the market, and the competition to help you with an initial concept analysis.
